Rev. Dr. Bradley L. DeHaven, Senior Pastor. Brad was ordained an Elder in the United Methodist Church in 1994, and has served various churches in Colorado, Nebraska, McAllen, San Benito, San Antonio, Canyon Lake, and Corpus Christi, Texas. He has degrees from McMurry University (B.A.), Iliff School of Theology (M.Div.), and Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University (D.Min.). Miranda Surratt, Director of Children’s Ministries. I have always been drawn to serve in the community and church. I’ve worked as a neighborhood babysitter, cared for my siblings, and worked at a non-profit domestic violence shelter serving women and children, my priority has been helping children and families. My family and I recently moved back to the Coastal Bend from New Mexico because we felt God leading us here. It is my aim to instill the Word of God into our children so they may be deeply rooted in Jesus Christ.
Beatrice S. Garcia, Administrative Assistant. Beatrice has been blessed to work as St. Luke’s Administrative Assistant since December 2010. She was born and raised in Corpus Christi, and was married in 2002 to Adan Garcia, III. Much of their free time is spent with family, friends, and their furbaby, Max. “Working in a church environment is such a different experience daily as you are called to be present for someone who may need that extra validation or effort and in that moment you share with them Christ’s undying love.”
Annette Chapman, Finance Secretary. Annette, a graduate of Texas Tech with a Bachelors in Accounting (1980), traveled around USA with husband as he did his military service in the Air Force until his retirement. She is a mother of 3 with 4 grandchildren. Annette settled in Coastal Bend in 2004, and started with St Luke’s in 2009. She has a passion for arts and crafts.
